What are MegaPoints?
MegaPoints is a free lure promotion administered directly by Megabait the manufacturer.
How does it work?
When a RETAIL customer purchases a Megabait fishing lure, the package insert lists the "MegaPoint Value" of that lure.
For example, all suspending Charlie Swimbaits are worth 2 points each. The customer can accumulate megapoints and then redeem them for free lures of their choice.
Every Megabait lure has both a MegaPoint value and Redemption Value.
For example, if you wanted a free Megabait Charlie Swimbait, the redemtion value is "24 Points", so you would gather up 24 megapoints from various megabait lure purchases, then submit them to redeem it for a free Megabait Charlie.
Step 1. Keep your package inserts that list your megapoints and also show the UPC code. Some items like the fluro carbon line have the upc bar code attached to the packaging. Please detach or cutout the UPC bar code for these types of products.
Step 2. Find out what the redemption value is of a lure that you may want for free.
For example, if I look for the Live Jig here on TackleDistributor.com, the product information page shows that I need 12 points to get a 1 oz version.
Step 3. Purchase enough lures over time and keep the packaging to accumulate at least 12 megapoints.
Step 4. Mail in your megapoints with the following information:
include the package insert cards and UPC bar codes that show the megapoint value and identify the product.
list how many points you have accumulated
list which product you want to redeem with your megapoints (size, color, etc.)
list which store you usually purchase megabait lures from
inlcude your shipping address, e-mail, and or telephone # in case we need to contact you
